Continuing progress with a strategic vision—strengthening culture, community well-being, economic vitality, and resident engagement. Deliver tangible results for Citizens

Strategic Planning & Asset Management

  • Reopen Sandy Beach in 2026 and develop a Conservation and Management Plan (CMP) with public input, applying the same conservation and access measures as before the 2024 closure, while protecting species, managing invasive plants, and fostering educational and stewardship opportunities 
  • Continue implementing the CMQ Action Plan by establishing clear procedures and policies for the treasury, improving transparency and accountability 
  • Develop a long-term Strategic Plan in collaboration with citizens, businesses, and property owners to define Council priorities, allocate resources effectively, and ensure consistent service levels 
  • Implement a Municipal Asset Management Plan and invest in modern, functional workspaces for municipal staff to directly enhance the quality of services delivered to residents 
  • Carry out the Parks & Green Spaces Master Plan projects with maintained trails, accessible green spaces, walking paths, recreational areas, and protected biodiversity, creating visible benefits for the community

Community-Based Policies & Well-Being

  • Enhance cultural and recreational offerings through festivals, exhibitions, and creative spaces accessible to all ages 
  • Improve programs and spaces for seniors and youth, creating welcoming places for engagement, activities, and social connection 
  • Implement a Public Participation Policy to strengthen citizen engagement via surveys, mailings, notice boards, dashboards, and a modernized website 
  • Implement Parking and Circulation Master Plans to improve mobility and safety by identifying problem areas, applying speed-abatement strategies in specific neighborhoods, and updating commercial parking requirements

Economic Development & Housing

  • Establish an Economic Development Committee (EDC) in 2026 to build a shared economic vision for Hudson, strengthen collaboration with local businesses, and provide informed guidance on community needs, priorities, and sustainable growth opportunities 
  • Continue promoting a diverse range of housing options, including social housing and solutions adapted for seniors wishing to remain in the community, to ensure Hudson meets the evolving needs of all residents
